Update on 'The Mandalorian'
Updated: Mar 13
It's been awhile since I discussed the live-action series THE MANDALORIAN. This series is exclusive to Disney's upcoming streaming service Disney+.
As most of you know, Pedro Pascal will play the title role of the Mandalorian.
I know Pedro Pascal best from one of my favorite shows, GAME OF THRONES. I'm very excited to see what he brings to the show and the role.
Other cast members include: Nick Nolte, Werner Herzog, Omid Abtahi, Carl Weathers, Emily Shallow, Giancarlo Esposito, and Gina Carano.
A lot of these actors and actresses should be familiar to you. I look forward to seeing them bring their respective Star Wars characters to life.
Moving on to the directorial duties for the season 1 episodes. Dave Filoni will direct the first episode, this will be interesting, as the first episode will set the tone for the show. Other episodic directors for season one: Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, and Deborah Chow.
Music is extremely important when it comes to Star Wars, so with that being said, Ludwig Göransson will compose the score to THE MANDALORIAN.
Ludwig has previously worked on BLACK PANTHER, CREED, CREED II, and VENOM.
Finally, The Star Wars Underworld reported that THE MANDALORIAN has completed filming for season one. A screenshot of a now deleted tweet confirms that the show has indeed completed its filming for the first season.
This matches up with reports that THE MANDALORIAN will debut sometime late in 2019.
Check back later for more news on THE MANDALORIAN.
