Clone Wars Content Coming to 'Star Wars Battlefront II'

Updated: Mar 13

Writing this article brings joy to my heart. EA Star Wars has finally announced that we will be getting Clone Wars era content in the future for STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT II. It's about damn time! The Clone Wars era is probably my favorite from all of Star Wars lore. This will be an announcement long remembered.

Unfortunately, this won't begin until the fall. But we can at least look forward to the characters announced:

1. Obi-Wan & General Grievous

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (2005)

2. Anakin Skywalker

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (2005)

3. Count Dooku

Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (2002)

We can now look forward to kicking ass as General Grievous and Count Dooku. Two characters this game desperately needed, in my opinion. I'm expecting Anakin to be on the hero side, so this is a little bit of a disappointment for me, because I wanted him to be a skin for Darth Vader. Oh well.

We are also getting a new location: Geonosis.

Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (2002)

Two new modes are coming, as well. First, Hero Starfighter is coming in July 2018. Then, a brand new mode that EA Star Wars claims "will be a non-linear, large-scale mode in which players battle for control of objectives around the map." No other info on that mode, or when it will be released.
