10 Things I Don't Like About Star Wars

Welcome to another edition of Guru 10. I know it has been a long time since my last 10 list, but rest assured I am now back. With the return of Guru 10, here are ten things I don't like about Star Wars. Yes, that is right. It is okay to not like something in Star Wars. Doesn't make you any less of a fan. I will point out that before this list, you would never know I disliked these things because I don't talk 24/7 about what I don't like. I tend to focus on what I love. Enough talk. Time to get into the list. 1. Clone Wars Micro Series I was never able to get past the animation and the extremely exaggerated action. It was too over the top for me. I know this series has a lot of fans, and I do

Guru Review: 'Lando: Double or Nothing, Part II'

Welcome back to another edition of GURU REVIEW. I'll be sharing my thoughts on Marvel's LANDO: DOUBLE OR NOTHING, PART II in today's review. LANDO: DOUBLE OR NOTHING, PART II is written by Rodney Barnes with art by Paolo Villanelli. It was released June 27, 2018. Be mindful, there will major spoilers below. DOUBLE OR NOTHING, PART II starts off with Lando narrating the story in the form of recording his Calrissian Chronicles. How very Lando Calrissian of him. Barnes has definitely managed to capture the young Lando charm in his writing of the character. I can't stress how on point Barnes is when it comes to making me feel like this is Lando from SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY. There are a couple ni

How the 'Sequel Trilogy' Should Handle the New Jedi Order

I remember back in 2012, when Lucasfilm announced they were making new Star Wars movies, all I could think about was how I wanted to see the Jedi in full force in Lucasfilm's new Star Wars SEQUEL TRILOGY. I wanted them to be just like they were in the STAR WARS PREQUELS & STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS. Then it dawned on me, that's not the Jedi way. The PREQUEL TRILOGY and THE CLONE WARS showed us the Jedi in a time period where they are long removed from their true purpose. It was hard for me to accept that the best part of Star Wars is literally showing us all the faults of a failing Jedi Order. Yes, I love seeing the Jedi fight and leading the clones into battle. I love when the Jedi clash wit

Twitter Says: June 24th-30th

Welcome to a new weekly series entitled "Twitter Says." I am very active on Twitter and try to chat with a lot of Star Wars celebrities, celebrity fans, and Lucasfilm creatives. Sometimes, on those rare occasions, those folks reply back to me. Every week, I will compile all their replies to me. Here are the tweets I managed to get out of some people during the week of June 24th-30th. Enjoy. Still not closer to figuring out who this human was. Maybe she wasn't anyone at all. Lucasfilm Story Group member Leland Chee had this to say when I asked about her: I asked music producer Ryan Hunt which four rappers would make up his crew, if Jabba the Hutt hired him for a job. Ryan is a cool guy, and a

'Star Wars Battlefront II' July Update

The July update for EA STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT II comes out tomorrow (July 3rd). With it we will get a new game mode, alien skins, and a lot of major & minor changes to the overall game. Here are the most important details, in my opinion, from the July update community transmission and release notes: "The July update, releasing on July 3 and titled "Hero Starfighters - a mode similar to Heroes vs Villains but based entirely in space. Also mentioned: "Added a Stamina cost to triggering block Added a constant stamina cost to holding block Added a delay before stamina regens after a lightsaber attack or block" "New milestones related to Hero Showdown have also been added."
